Howard M. Forman

Howard M. Forman has nearly thirty years of private practice legal experience. He is well known for his representation of individuals in the dissolution of their non-marital relationships including litigation regarding their real and personal property rights. He also has extensive experience advising clients with respect to their estate planning needs and, where necessary, representing them in litigation in the Surrogate’s Court to protect his clients’ inheritance rights. He represents his clients in all types of residential and commercial real estate transactions and leasing, and advises them regarding the formation of their business entities and thereafter represents their business entities.

He has performed and continues to perform legal services on a pro bono basis to many community based organizations including The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center and Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, Inc. and serves on the Powsner Cooperberg Legacy Society Advisory Committee of The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center.

Howard has spoken on lesbian, gay and transgender legal issues to numerous organizations located in New York City.

He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York County Lawyers Association and is a graduate of New England School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the Southern and Eastern United States District Courts.
